Our Church
Gregory Congregational United Church of Christ was founded in 1865 through the efforts of the American Missionary Association. We celebrate the diversity of the United Church of Christ and the richness of our African American heritage. Gregory is committed to the praise and worship of our Lord Jesus Christ by extravagant love, enhancing the education of our community’s children and by standing for justice for all. Worship is rich and varied, ranging from the solemnity of anthems and hymns to the joyous rejoicing of testimony and praise dancing.
We have several ministries including a tutorial program for public school children, vibrant Men’s and Women’s Clubs, 4 different choirs, active Bible Study and take an active role in community issues. We place particular emphasis on sharing and showing what we call “Gregory Love” to any and all who come within our reach. We have a place for any and all and we grow closer to the Lord every time we can touch another life in any way.
Some of our Core Values
