Christian Education Ministry
The Christian Education Ministry met on October 5, 2009
Our Agenda consisted of plans for the months of October –December 2009.
For the past year our Youth Sunday School Department had been using the lectionary series of Whole People of God and found this to be very effective with teaching our youth. So we will be continuing on with the Whole People of God curriculum for the year 2009-2010.
On Friday , October 30th we will be having our annual Fall Fest. It will be from 6:00 – 8:30 in the church Parish Hall. The evening will consist of fun, food and games for all ages. There will also be a costume contest for all with prizes to be awarded.
On Saturday, December 19th we will be hosting a fundraiser Holiday Gala to celebrate the season.
This event will be a Dressy attire affair with a holiday dinner and fashion show. Our fashion show coordinator will be Mrs. Joselia Davis of St Andrews AME Church.
Further info about this event will be announced about this affair in the next few weeks.
Sunday, December 21st, Annual Candlelight Service at 4:00 pm
December 27-29, Our youth will be attending Annual Kwanzaa Celebration at Franklinton Center,
Whitakers, NC. Further info will be posted as the dates approach.
The Christian Education ministry is working towards setting up a Christian literature and we are asking for donations of used Christian literature.
